SFO Hotel Shuttle Help

Have you ever reserved a room near San Francisco Airport, arrived at the “Hotel Courtesy Shuttle” stop only to find that none arrived for your hotel despite waiting for almost an hour? I have! That is why I have made this page.

Unfortunately not all hotels provide the same service. They can roughly be categorized as follows.

• Hotels with round-the-clock service
• Hotels with service during normal waking hours
• Hotels that only run shuttles in the early morning and in the evening.

Another consideration is frequency of service. Depending on the hotel the shuttles may run every 15, 20, 30, 40 or 60 minutes during whatever their normal operating hours are.

Naturally the information provided here will not be perfectly stable. You will note that a number of hotels in the same general direction from SFO will run a joint service. Sometimes, additional hotels will be added, or one of hotels might decide that they need more frequent (or less frequent) service and switch to a different shuttle provider.

You have probably just arrived from a tiring flight and will not want to deal with a long wait for a shuttle, perhaps in the rain or in chilling conditions which you are not prepared for.

Guidelines for getting to your hotel quickly and safely.

• Check the hotel’s website to make sure that it offers an airport shuttle service.
• Confirm how frequently the shuttle runs and if there are times with no service.
• If you will arrive at curbside after 8:30am and before 5:00pm it is imperative to make sure that the hotel’s shuttle runs continuously all day. Call the front desk number listed on this site to confirm.
